Jenni Moussalli

Jenni swiftly progressed through the ABRSM grades for violin with 8 distinctions and achieved the dipABRSM diploma, the Torbay Young Musician and the Director's Outstanding Award of the Torbay Schools Festival before moving to London to further her studies. She recently graduated from King's College London and also specialised in Advanced Performance Studies (violin) at the Royal Academy of Music under the tutelage of Professor Joshua Fisher. In 2014, she achieved the Licentiate award of the Royal Schools of Music in violin (LRSM), with viola as a related instrument. She performs regularly with numerous orchestras and ensembles, at theatres and for recording sessions, and her orchestral work has taken her to international stages such as the Edinburgh Festival and the Royal Festival Hall, working with soloists and conductors such as Toby Purser, Ed Gardner, Tom Poster and Guy Johnston. Jenni also manages and performs with the Grazioso String Quartet. She has been passionate about instrumental teaching since her school days, where she prepared beginner piano and violin students for ABRSM exams. Since moving to London to study music she continues to teach violin, viola, double bass and piano privately to students of all ages and abilities ranging from beginner to grade 8 standard. Her students have been successful in ABRSM exams, played in competitions, workshops, festivals and on the BBC. She also teaches music theory in order that students may pass grade 5 theory when they reach the equivalent playing standard. Jenni recently presented a series of education in schools workshops on the violin/viola as part of different outreach initiatives to inspire young musicians, and has taken great pleasure in directing young string groups in festivals and concerts, encouraging their ensemble skills. Jenni is the founder and leader of an 11-piece string group for young musicians who won their category at the South West of England Music Festival. She has helped mentor violin sections of the National Orchestra For All, a children’s orchestra that promotes musical provision for young people no matter what their level of experience, whilst enhancing students’ confidence and performance skills. Jenni encourages students to develop their own musical judgement and listening skills whilst solidifying technique, score reading and interpretation skills across a variety of genres and styles. Recognising that each student is an individual and following a teaching programme that incorporates their interests, Jenni is able to relate practical work accordingly to, say, theory that students may have learnt in school, history of music, music in film, historical violin pedagogy, general performance skills or Alexander technique. Jenni is passionate about sharing her experience and love of violin-playing with students of all ages and abilities.

Zsuzsanna Tamas

Zsuzsanna Melinda Tamas is a native Hungarian, born in Romania. She started her violin studies at early years, earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005 in Cluj Napoca. She studied violin under Prof. Valeriu Maior and Gero Botar. 

Her studies in Music Performance and Education together with her experience as a Professional Musician in many orchestras has greatly enhanced her knowledge about the role and importance of music and instrumental teaching. As a violin teacher she has had the privilege to work with students across a wide age range Her experience includes individual lessons and group instrumental or musicianship lessons. She has experience working with the syllabuses of all major examination boards, from prep level to grade 8. 

She is a violinist with many different orchestras in London such as LMTO and Notting Hill Orchestra for Film Music. Zsuzsanna has won a first violin position at the National Romanian Opera of Cluj Napoca (2008) and the National Hungarian Opera and Theatre (2012). Immediately after earning her degree, she started her career at the National Philharmonic Orchestra or Oradea. 

She has toured extensively throughout Europe. In addition to working for Arts Academy, she is also working for The Strings Club, and volunteering as a Violin Teaching Assistant.

David Mather

David Mather

David Mather is currently studying music performance in the London College of Music. His principle study is trumpet, but is multi-talented, so also plays the violin and teaches singing. David has taught private pupils on both instruments and has taken many through the ABRSM examinations. He has a great deal of experience in music tuition, working with Lambeth music services teaching both one-to-one lessons and also classroom music lessons.

In terms of performing, David has vast musical experience in a number of different ensembles, including orchestra and brass ensembles; most recently travelling to China and playing with Julian Lloyd Webber and the Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (conductor Vasily Petrenko).

Zlatina Stoyanova

Zlatina Stoyanova

Zlatina graduated at The National School of Music and Dance Arts “Dobrin Petkov” at Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She became a member of the Symphonic orchestra of the National School of Music and Dance Arts “Dobrin Petkov” conducted by Plamen Parvanov. In 2012, she was became an Assistant Concertmaster.

She is a part of the String orchestra of The National School of Music and Dance Arts “Dobrin Petkov, Plovdiv conducted by Evgeniy Chevkenov (Austria). As well as performing in Bulgaria, she performed on the Golden Hall in Musikverein in Wien as a part of the Sumer Cum Laude Youth Music Festival.

Recently she commenced her studies at the University of West London- London College of Music and she participates in LCM String Ensemble and LCM Camerata, conducted by Simon Rigby and she is a Concertmaster of the orchestra. She has been teaching for a couple of years and she is great for all levels including complete beginners and advanced students.

Sabina Ioana Virtosu

Sabina Ioana Virtosu

Sabina has over 20 years’ experience playing the violin and has graduated with Honours from the Royal College of Music with Honours in 2013, where she studied with Yossi Zivoni. She is an accomplished soloist/chamber musician/ orchestral violinist and performed in many major musical centres in the UK (Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, Royal Opera House, St. Martin in the Fields) and in many other countries (Greece, Poland, Italy, Germany, France, Romania).

Sabina has been awarded numerous awards and scholarships for her outstanding performance: “Constantin Silvestri” Scholarship to study at Pocklington School in York, England, Full Music Scholarship at Wellington College, won 2nd prize at the Hickies Reading Young Musician Competition and the opportunity to play with the Reading Symphony Orchestra and many more.

She is a very experienced teacher; she has been teaching privately throughout her studies for over 4 years. With her creative, engaging and stimulating approach, she always receives positive feedback and achieves fantastic results with her pupils.

Sabina is very enthusiastic about teaching and eager to share her musical expertise with younger generations in years to come.

Kin Chung Wong

Kin is a classical musician with 15 years of piano, violin, viola, music theory teaching and orchestra conducting experience, both in primary and secondary school classes and teaching individual students. This included preparing and training for music exams (ABRSM, Trinity College London and London College of Music).

Most of Kin's students have passed in their grade practical and theory exams, from initial grade to grade 8, in both ABRSM, Trinity College London and London College of Music. Many of them have achieved Merit or Distinction in grade 8, both piano and violin. For music diplomas, the highest mark which the student achieved in the Associate Diploma from Trinity College London in Solo piano was 82, and for the Licentiate Diploma from Trinity College London in Solo piano this was 92. 

Kin believes every music student needs a certain level of standard to aspire and attain, and the discipline of learning an instrument is important to all of us. Kin hopes he has a chance to help music students measure their progress and performance against the standard worldwide

Irene Ramos Alvarez

Irene Ramos Alvarez

Irene is an experienced violin teacher originally from Spain. After ten years of studying music and specialising in violin in the Conservatory of Music, Cádiz she has completed an Undergraduate Degree in Education, specialising in Music Education at University of Cádiz (Spain) in 2007. She is currently undertaking private lessons with Claudio Forcada in London. Irene has a substantial experience working with children, she taught at Music School of Soto del Real in Madrid, D'Arezzo Music School in Cádiz and taught privately around England since her relocation to UK. As well as her private teaching, she works at the nursery at St Paul's in London where her duties include music and movement actives for toddlers. During her teaching career she managed to prepare children for various examinations and her pupils continue to achieve very good results.

Giorgia Macellari

Giorgia is an Italian violin player and teacher, based in London since 2012. She started to learn the violin when she was 7 years old. At the age of 17 she had her first experience as soloist in performing a Vivaldi violin concerto. From 2000 to 2008 she attended several courses in musical performance and string orchestra, developing a love for chamber music and baroque style.

In 2008 she obtained the Violin Diploma at the "G. Briccialdi" Musical Institute of Terni (Italy).

In March 2012, she concluded a Master of Arts in Violin Performance (Diploma Accademico di II livello) at the "Santa Cecilia" Conservatory of Rome. In "Santa Cecilia" she had the opportunity to lead the second violins of the conservatory orchestra, doing several significant concerts with this role and also having an international collaboration as concertmaster with the saxophonist Jean- Yves Fourmeau.

She also has both a BSc and a MSc in Psychology, obtained at the "Sapienza" University of Rome. Having a psychology study background, she always pays attention to the personal needs of her students, respecting their different natures and trying to find the most suitable way to teach them.

In 2006 she started to teach violin and she took part to several teaching projects which gave to children the possibility to approach to the orchestra experience.
From 2011 to 2013 she participated to Master Classes under the guide of Igor Volochine.

In the last years she had experience with string quartets and with several chamber and symphony orchestras (such as the “Orchestra Universale Italiana”, the “Xilon” orchestra,“Archi della Rosa”, the “London Arts Orchestra”, the “Women of the World Orchestra” and the “Orion Orchestra”), taking also part to recordings of soundtracks.
Apart from the violin, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.

Callista Nurse

Callista Nurse

Callista is a London based pianist, recorder player and violist. She is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama) having gained both a BMus(Hons) and a PGDip in Piano Performance. She is fortunate to have performed all over England, Scotland and the Isles, France and Georgia.

In her busy teaching and performing schedule, Callista still finds time to participate in various musical projects, which have taken her to the Riverside Studios, the Dominion Theatre, Wembley Arena, O2 Arena and numerous live music venues around London. 


Callista has a passion for all genres of music whether be it Classical, Pop or otherwise. She values working alongside other composers and writers and being involved in the creative process. 

Maintaining a friendly, supportive and assertive approach to teaching, Callista revels in teaching a broad spectrum of abilities, from complete beginners to more advanced pupils. She has a great range of repertoire and will adapt and adopt music of any genre from which the pupil would like to learn. 

Callista's sessions are always lively and engaging; her modus operandi, with regards to the MusicHour, is to emphasise the pure enjoyment of playing and mastering a wide range of repertoire rather than focusing on examinations. However, should the student wish to be entered for ABRSM examinations, Callista is more than happy to prepare them thoroughly and guide them through the process. She maintains a 100% pass rate.
