Chris is currently studying towards a master’s degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire where he is a thankful recipient of the Leverhulme Trust Arts Scholarship. He has played bass for fifteen years and takes a strong interest in jazz, classical and popular music.

As a teacher he believes many of the facets of being a good bass player can be developed away from the instrument. This involves developing a student's intonation and aural awareness through ear training and singing, as well as developing their sense of time through metronome games and exercises.

He can currently be found playing double bass and electric bassin several groups across London focusing on traditional New Orleans jazz, bebop and contemporary jazz.
