Liam McCloud is a drummer and percussionist based in London. A graduate from the London College of Music, Liam has taken up a career in music performance and teaching.
I have been involved in music since the age of 9 and have since become a sought-after performer.
His experience has ranged from performing rock music with London based bands FO and the Sailing Stones, to appearing at the Brass Band national championships on percussion with South Milford Brass. His love of Jazz music has lead me to become affiliated with Jazz function band Jazzfields, the LCM Big Band and various Jazz ensembles in and around the London Jazz scene. He also enjoys being a part of many Musical Theatre productions on drum kit and percussion such as Rent, Fame, Just So, Spelling Bee, Saturday Night and Spring Awakening.
He currently teach piano and percussion at St Joseph’s RC primary school in Sloane square where he is in charge of leading the schools samba club, performing authentic Rio carnival music with the children, ready to show off at the end of year concerts and summer carnivals. He also assists with the delivery of the music workshop at share community – an organisation designed to help and support adults with learning difficulties.
