Boyan Ivanov, born in 1983 in Yambol, Bulgaria, is one of the most promising young clarinetists and pianists today. In 2005 Boyan completed his Bachelor studies with highest honours from the Plovdiv Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts. His professor and mentor there was the renowned Prof. Petko Radev, a long-time principal player of Milan's La Scala. During his studies the artist won third prize from the 2003 International Competition for French Music Performance.

In London Boyan has recently performed as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician at many prestigious venues including Barbican Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Cadogan Hall, St James's Piccadilly, St Martin in the Fields, St John's Smith Square, Charlton House, Blackheath Halls, Regent Hall, Bloomsbury Church. In 2008/09 he studied with Joan Enric Lluna at Trinity College of Music, where he gained the FTCL Recital Diploma. In August 2009 Boyan was invited by Italian pianist Emilio Aversano to participate in the festival "Armonie della Magna Grecia", where he made his debut on the Italian stage with two concerts in Tropea and Pizzo.

In 2010 Boyan received his Master Degree from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he was studying with Julian Farrell and Nick Carpenter. In January 2010 he was awarded the Making Music Philip & Dorothy Green Award for Young Concert Artists as part of which, in 2011, he gave recitals for several Music Societies across UK, and was soloist of Dulwich Symphony and Warwickshire Symphony Orchestras.

 Boyan is an active teacher as well as a solo and chamber music performer. From January 2012 Boyan became a clarinet tutor at St Aloysius' College and St Vincent's Catholic School in London, as well as the Arts Academy.

Boyan's orchestral work includes Orchestra Musica Romantica, Co-Opera Co Orchestra, Orpheus Sinfonia, Melos Sinfonia, Orion Symphony Orchestra, London Arts Orchestra, Orchestra of the City, Young Janacek Philharmonic, Charities Philharmonia, Docklands Sinfonia, Plovdiv Philharmonic Orchestra, Bulgaria. Sit-in places include London Symphony Orchestra and Philharmonia Orchestra.Training Orchestras include Guildhall Symphony Orchestra, and Trinity Symphony and Chamber Orchestras.

Chamber work includes The Calypso Trio (recitals across the UK and classical entertainers at cruise ships), 7/8 Ensemble (including recital at St James's Picadilly), Festival Armonie della Magna Graecia, Italy, and Inspirity Ensemble (recitals in London and Bulgaria). Solo work includes Dulwich Symphony Orchestra, Warwickshire Symphony Orchestra, London Arte Chamber Orchestra, Trinity Jazz Ensemble, Bloomsbury International Recital Series and regular recitals with pianists Olivia Sham and Andrea Kmecova.

Boyan's graduate studies took place at Guildhall School of Music and Drama (MMus in Orchestral Training, 2010), Trinity College of Music, London (FTCL, 2008-2009) and Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts, Plovdiv, Bulgaria (BA in Clarinet, 2001-2005)
