Bio: Six nylon strings, the classical guitar dates back to Babylon. This is the "traditional" type of guitar, mostly picking and not strumming, and learning to read standard notation music.
The sound is produced by using fingers (not a pick) to pluck the six strings.

Luca is a versatile guitarist and musician. He has performed, recorded and arranged in a variety of styles such as Rock, Pop, Funk, Soul, R/n/B, Jazz, Blues, and World Music.
After spending some time performing and studying in Los Angeles with some of its most respected guitarists and since completing his bachelor Popular Music Performance Bmus(Hons) at the University of West London(First Class Honours) , Luca has been working regularly as a live session guitarist for various events across the UK and Europe.
He has also been working on his first album and on an ambitious instrumental project entitled, “Mediterranea Duo,” performing a repertoire ranging from Chick Corea and
Django Reinhardt to Paco De Lucia. Luca is a dedicated Guitar Teacher, a member of “Registry of Guitar Tutors” with a high level of experience in both one-on-one and in group settings; he has total knowledge of the English music grading system (Trinity,Abrsm) as well as other teaching methods available(Berklee, Musicians Institute). He possesses a genuine enthusiasm for sharing both his knowledge and passion for music.
Originally from Billingham, Teesside, Jonathan gained a 1st Class Honours Degree in classical guitar at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama under the tutorship of John Mills, Graham Anthony Devine, Helen Sanderson, Steve Gordon and Elefethria Kotzia. In 2012 Jonathan studied at the Conservatory of Music of Central Finland in Jyvaskyla with the guitarist and composer Kai Nieminen and is currently studying for a Masters in performance on a scholarship at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.
As well as performing throughout Europe, Jonathan has performed at Kings Place, Leeds College of Music, Dora Stoutzker Hall, Middlesbrough Town Hall, Ushaw College Chapel, Southwark Cathedral, St Martin’s in The Bullring, The National Museum of Wales and for London Guitar Festival, Greenwich Early Music Festival, Exeter Guitar Festival, Leeds Lieder Festival 2013, Sowerby Music and Middlesbrough, Cardiff and Swansea Classical Guitar Societies.
Jonathan is also an active and experienced chamber musician having given recitals with singers Jessica Robinson, Tom Smith and Grace Wain. Jonathan is a member of the What Guitar Trio specialising in contemporary music written for guitar trio. In both 2013 and 2015 Jonathan won first prize in the John Mills Guitar Prize.
Jonathan has been supported for his future studies by The Leverhulme Trust, The Joan Greenfield Trust, The Countess of Munster Musical Trust, The Peter Chase Award and by The Help Musicians’ Postgraduate Award.

Berxwedan Koçkaya is a classical guitarist from London and began his musical training with Caner Şahin before studying further with James Woodrow. He has recently completed his Undergraduate degree under the tuition of Mark Ashford and Mark Eden at Birmingham Conservatoire. Berxwedan has taken part in classes with renowned guitarists such as Xuefei Yang, Marcin Dylla, Matteo Mela, Carlos Bonell, Gary Ryan, Chris Stell, Amanda Cook and Duo Agostino amongst many others. He has given performances in venues including The Other Place (Stratford-upon-Avon), West Dean Guitar Festival (Chichester), St Martins in the Bullring (Birmingham), Odd Fellows Hall (Sheffield) and Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery and his awards include 1st Prize in the 2015 Birmingham Conservatoire Guitar Prize, 2nd Prize in the Sylvia Cleaver Chamber Music Prize with Alma Guitar Quartet and Finalist in the Doris Newton Club Prize.
He performs as a soloist and is a member of Alma Guitar Quartet, who recently premiered new works written especially for the quartet in a concert as part of the Birmingham Conservatoire Frontiers Festival in 2016.
Starting off as an amateur guitarist strumming on an acoustic guitar, Pavel quickly decided to take on classical guitar lessons in 2004. The following year he progressed to music school. In 2009 he was accepted to study at the Royal Academy of Music on a full-fees scholarship, having also been granted places and scholarships at the Royal College of Music and Trinity College of Music. He has been awarded a number of solo and chamber music prizes and awards in his native Bulgaria. Pavel has participated in masterclasses with distinguished guitarists such as David Russell, Fabio Zanon, Edoardo Catemario, Olivier Chassain, to name a few. He has met and played for the legendary Julian Bream. Pavel has performed in live broadcasts for Bulgarian National Radio and Television. He also performed in the Bulgarian National Opera and the House of Commons in the British Parliament.
Pavel has been successfully teaching for the past 8 years, having helped his pupils prepare for grades examinations, concerts, as well as playing the guitar just for fun. Pavel believes everyone can learn to play the guitar to a level at which they are enjoying themselves through having fun.
Moises Silva is a classical guitarist based in London but hailing from Porto in Portugal. His vast repertoire includes but is not restricted to Classical, Latin, Jazz, Brazilian and some more modern pop arranged for the guitar.
Moises Silva has extensive experience as guitar performer, playing as a soloist and with other musicians including singers, flautists, violinists and guitarists.
As Electric Guitar Performer, performed with several bands approaching various musical genres.
He also worked as a guitar and music teacher in various Music Schools and Conservatories in Portugal, where he improved and developed his skills over seven years and in 2014 he finished his Master's Degree in Music at the prestigious Maastricht Academy of Music guided by the world-known professor, Carlo Marchione.
Andrea Basiola, is an Italian guitar teacher and player based in London, UK. He started playing in Italy at the age of 12, being part of different cover bands and gigging in and around his hometown in Italy.
Andrea studied with one of Italy’s best guitar teachers: Donato Begotti, and attended in 2004 a 3 months guitar course with him.
The big opportunity came in 2009 when Andrea won a scholarship to study at Tech Music Schools in London, one of Europe's most known music colleges, where he graduated receiving the One Year Diploma in Guitar in 2010. During the course he was writing for the Italian national guitar magazine "Chitarre".
In London, Andrea recorded 2 singles and 2 albums with his rock bands, Kill For Eden and Future Shock, gigged in and outside the capital (including venues like the Shepherds Bush Empire, 02 Academy, 100 Club, etc..), and carried on teaching guitar privately, with an average number of 10 students per week.
Andrea is an experienced guitar teacher, he teaches all ages, and is fully CRB checked. His favourite style is rock, but he also loves to be inspired by funk and blues music His lessons give the student a complete and useful way to learn, they are exhaustive but never boring.
Alex Scheuerer has been playing the guitar for about 12 years. He began by learning the classical guitar in a conservatoire which introduced him to learning and playing electric guitar. Alex has just graduated with a Bachelor of Music from the Tech Music School in West London.
When he is not teaching he spends most of his time playing music. Alex loves what he does, in all contexts, from playing live and in the studio right through to teaching people of all ages and abilities with a hope that their passion for music and guitar will grow like his has.
Alessandro is an experienced and versatile Italian guitarist and pianist. His first musical loves were Nirvana and Led Zeppelin. His focus gradually changed towards blues and modern jazz and moved to Rome, where he studied with top players Umberto Fiorentino and Fabio Zeppetella. In 2009 he moved to London where he completed his Bmus (Hons) at 'The Institute of Contemporary Music Performances'.
In London, Alessandro has been working and recording with top producers Greg Harver (Manic Street Preachers, Mel C) and John Harrison (Amy Winehouse, Dido, Santana) and he's currently writing and performing with, among others 8-piece soul hip-hop band 'Retrospective for Love', electronic artist Angelina Dove and acoustic singer-songwriter Bobby Good.
He likes to experiment with technical innovations including percussive acoustic guitar and unusual use of effect pedals and he also currently performs with other instruments such as piano, mandolin, banjo, ukulele and lapsteel guitar.
Alessandro is a qualified experienced touring musician, songwriter and modern guitar tutor. As a live performer he has played more than 250 gigs all around Europe, and recorded many albums and EP's of original music.
He started his career as a guitar tutor in 2007. He can teach a wide range of styles (rock, pop, blues, folk, metal, indie, funk, reggae...) and techniques, personalising his classes depending on the student’s needs. His lessons can also include topics like theory, harmony, songwriting, live performance training, improvisation, home recording, effects routing and amplification management.
