Well hello through chattering teeth... Autumn is really here! The leaves are falling from the trees and the nights are darker. Harrods have had in the Christmas decs in from August and I think its safe to say we are now on the downward slope to Christmas! I\'m looking forward to Halloween... well, looking forward to visiting my Mum for my favourite treat of pumpkin soup! Anyway, I didn\\\'t want to discuss pumpkin soup... rather the hilarious column now dedicated to our favorite Creative Director! I can officially reveal that Robert will be gracing the pages of Your Kids magazine permanently! Grab yourself a copy of the magazine issued every season for answers the public put to Mr Emery about all things Music! Any question will be answered - a bit like Dear Jane or Dear Doctor but without the Dr Jane!!! TTFN, Mel x
Last year saw some exciting and fresh ideas for the future of the Arts Academy and as we progress into the Summer term, we can reveal yet another 100% pass rate of the pupils entered during period A for ABRSM music exams, all of which passed with Distinction... you lot are geniuses in the making! Well done to all who took their exams and good luck to those preparing for B period! As you can see, (the appropriately named) Charlie the office cat was pleased with your results, showing his admiration by snoozing in the waiting area at reception this morning! I couldnt resist taking a snap for you guys! Maybe the Arts Academy should get corresponding pets for your notes. George the Giraffe and Ellie the Elephant might be a problem though... Catch you later, Mel x
A little tear comes to my eye... Its been a very memorable year at the Arts Academy with our professors, parents and pupils all excited for the Christmas holidays! You continue to tell us about your experiences having fun learning music and it does not seem to stop! I managed to dive through the mountain of christmas cards on the office walls from you guys, to speak to Robert Emery, the Creative Director: I cannot believe how this year has flown by... what started as a mission for me has become a reality and the Arts Academy pupils seem to be the happiest on earth! Aww, he is soppy isnt he?! All thats left to say is Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year! See you in 2008! Mel xx
